Heart Tree

Heart Tree

Standing there, surrounds by freshly fallen snow

Rust-colored leaves drifting, to settle upon the snow

The carved face, weeping red dew tears

Its gazes, burning right through

Into the depths of the soul

Allowing no place to hide

Laying bear the sins

Of everyone who comes before

The heart tree

I give you today’s poem, for today’s word prompt challenge.
